Setting Your Goals

Posted on January 3, 2013 by Ollie 'Ojay' Matthews There have been 0 comments

So, Christmas is done, we have welcomed the new year in with a drink or two, maybe 5 prob more, and plenty of excess calories! The new year is time to set those resolutions, make a new start and set your goals.

What are your goals? How will you achieve them? Knowing this is the first step to progression, to developing an improved better YOU.

When developing your goal it is important to break it down into achievable segments, think short, medium and long term. Make sure that these goals are S.M.A.R.T. meaning Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time frame. If you follow this you will be able to take individual steps to your goals without getting demotivated. If you have 3 stone to lose then break it down, aim for time frames to lose 1/2 stone at a time of fat, look into what may be in the way to mark as a milestone, a holiday? a competition? a hot date!
On this note have you started your journey? The formula for success according to Nietzsche is 'a straight line, a goal'.

The Peak Physique Awards have start where you could win yourself a holiday. This involves taking progress pictures which can be a lot more beneficial than you would believe throughout the course of a transformation if the scales aren't changing the composition - the camera never lies! If you have entered the contest then good luck, you can find instructional videos on the Peak Physique Awards site and for anyone entered wishing to get tailored plans and guidance on training and diet you are able to get ongoing advice if you get a tailored diet or training plan throughout the contest just get in touch via twitter @OJayPT or facebook Ollie 'OJay Bodycatchers' Matthews.

This is me before I put my plan into action and changed my lifestyle!

Remember, you and only you can get your goals.

Catch your goals and make them your achievements. 2013 can be the year of a new improved YOU.
