Lets hear from Carlos:

Carlos Filippsen, 6ft 1in, 94kg

I am excited to be joining the team at Bodybuilding Warehouse. I started training when I was 15, following advice from the internet and not really knowing what I was doing. It was a great learning curve for me to start at a young age and learn from my mistakes as time went by. I have worked in the fitness industry for 5 years, doing various roles from Fitness Instructor, Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer. My Most recent role is working as a Fitness Manager for Everyone Active.
However, I am leaving my current role to pursue a career in the Police Force and will continue my passion for Fitness and Training as a Mens Physique Competitor. I have been using BBW products for over a year with excellent results, so it is a great opportunity for me to be part of the team and to be able to share my knowledge and experience to help others.

I train 4-5 times per week using a split routine. I focus on low volume, 3 exercises for large muscle groups and 1-2 for small muscle groups but a higher frequency, training each muscle group every fifth day. I aim for 3 sets of 6-10 reps per exercise using progressive overload and making sure I record every single workout.

When training for conditioning, I use the same split routine as above and continue to lift heavy so I can hold on to as much strength and muscle as possible whilst on a calorie deficit. Most importantly, I consume a minimum of 250g of protein per day, reduce carbohydrate intake and eat plenty of good fats. I also incorporate HIIT and LISS in to my split.

I have been training hard to gain size and currently weigh 94kg. However, in the last couple of weeks I have started to work on conditioning with the aim of reducing my body fat back down to single figures.

My goal is to compete in my first ever Mens Physique Competition at Body Power 2015.

My top supps: Pure CLA PowderPure Whey Protein Concentrate 80Pure Omega 3 Fish Oil
