As soon as people hear the word ‘fat’ they more than likely think of all the food that contains high levels of bad fats and because of this – they avoid it like the plague. The truth is, not all fats are bad for you!

Good and Bad Fats
There are healthy fats that are actually very good for you and help you massively in the bid to shred that stubborn fat! Fats also play vital roles within the body so it’s extremely important that people don’t cut them out of their diet completely but we will go through those a little later.

First of all. fat is a natural substance which is made up of different fatty acids. There are four main groups of fatty acids and these are saturated, monounsaturated, trans and polyunsaturated. The fats in the different groups because they have a different chemical structure to one another, thus making some healthier than others and some ‘good’ fats and others ‘bad’ fats. Fat is an essential part of our diet however too much of it can be detrimental to our health.

What are bad fats?
Bad fats are, quite simply, the fat’s that have a negative effect on your health. They can raise your cholesterol and in the long-term also increase your risk of heart disease. The worst types of fat that you can consume is trans fat and saturated fat as they both contain a high calorie content and when calories go unused they can then be stored by the body as fat, thus leading to weight gain. There are quite a variety of different foods that can contain these bad fats and which are best to keep away from, these can include:

✔ Commercially-baked goods such as cookies, cakes, pizza’s etc.
✔ Packaged snack food such as crisps and sweets,
✔ Fried foods such as French fries, chicken nuggets etc.

What are good fats?
Good fats are the fats that when eaten within a healthy diet can vastly improve your health and well-being. These kind of fats are naturally occurring in the foods that we eat and aren't manufactured in there. An example of this is foods packed full of Omega-3 as this is naturally found is those foods, so is a perfect contribution to a healthy diet and lifestyle. There are plenty of foods that you can add into your diet in order to get those good fats in there. A few examples of these can be:

✔ Avacados,
✔ Eggs,
✔ Olives,
✔ Flaxseed,
✔ Fish such as salmon,
✔ Nuts

There are a lot of people who will find it hard to go straight from eating unhealthy foods to being on the perfect food plan and one of the best things you can do to start is to begin to swap some of your bad foods for healthier ones. There are many alternatives out there that you can swap over in your meals from opting for healthier meats such as omega packed grilled salmon instead of red meat to simply changing the type of bread that you use from white to wholegrain varieties.Grilled Salmon

So what role does fat play in the body?
Although the word ‘fat’ tends to come with a fairly bad stigma attached to it, it actually plays a very vital role in the running and functioning of the human body. This is why we would never advise to cut fat out completely, we just want to show you the difference between good and bad fats!

✔ The first vital role that fat plays in your body is the amount of energy that it gives you. Although the body’s main source of energy is through the carbohydrates that we eat (bread, rice etc.), when these aren’t available your body will then turn to the fats within the body as a backup source of energy. Out of all the nutrients, fats provide the highest concentration of energy with just one gram containing 9 calories. This calorie density makes the fat in our body our best backup source for the energy we need.
✔ Another vital role that fat plays in the body is that of Insulation. Fat cells that are stored in the tissue within the body can help insulate your body and sustain a normal body temperature. Your body contains a thin layer of fat which is located just beneath the skin. This layer of fat is there to help keep the heat inside your body, thus helping maintain the correct body temperature. As well as helping to keep our average body temperature correct, it can also help should you need to survive in extreme temperatures.
✔ A third reason that fat is so vital for the functioning of our body is the amount of vitamins that it can absorb. There are certain vitamins which are actually known as ‘fat-soluble’ – this basically means that they need the fat to be able to be absorbed and then stored. A few of these are Vitamins such as Vitamin A, D, E and K. All of these are an essential part of everyone diet for a variety of different reasons. This means that fat is also essential as without the fat in your body, you wouldn’t be able to absorb them correctly. Your body would then become deficient in these vital Vitamins and begin effecting other areas of your body.
✔ Lastly, a fourth reason as to why fat is such an essential part of everyone’s diet is its ability to protect your body. As well as the previous layer of fat found just beneath the skin keeping you warm, your body also has a layer of fat whWarrior Blaze Fat Burnersich surrounds your major organs such as the brain, nerves, heart, tissues and also your bones.  This layer of fat will act like a cushion for these organs and if your body ever comes under an experience of sudden impact, this layer is designed to absorb as much of the shock as possible before it can get to important organs such as the heart.

As important as fat is within the body, you can still have too much of it. You can still want to burn fat and become leaner and be healthy. A combination of hard
work whilst training and a healthy diet can help you towards this goal, however, some find it harder than others. There are supplements that can help you get back into the routine of working out, giving you the energy to get up and go.

An example of a supplement that could help you do this is Warrior Blaze. The results differ for everyone and this is partly the reason as to why a lot of people are so sceptical about Fat Burners however Warriors winning combination of effective ingredients create a brilliant aid to fat loss and shifting that stubborn fat alongside a healthy and sustainable diet.
