Strawberry Protein Flan

This is Strawberry Protein Flan, made with BBW Premium Casein and Milk (perfect pre-bed!), it turned out fantastic and I love this recipe because it's just so, so easy :-)

1 heaping scoop of BBW Premium Casein - Strawberry
Half a pint of milk (I used whole milk but, again, any other milk can be used)
1 pack of unsweetened, unflavoured, powdered gelatine (I use Dr Oetker's Gelatine; it is sold at most supermarkets, each pack contains approximately 11g)

Strawberry Protein Flan

Directions: This recipe is very simple. All you need to do is heat up half a pint of milk with half a pint of water (you COULD use all milk if you want to end up with a milkier flan). While the milk + water is heating up, put your casein and gelatine in a big bowl. When the milk + water begins to want to boil, take it off the heat. You want it to be hotter than lukewarm but not boiling (because you don't want to cook your casein, you just want to dissolve it). Add the hot milk + water to the casein + gelatine and whisk until it's all completely dissolved and there are no lumps in the mixture (it just takes a minute or two of whisking). Divide it into 4 bowls and let it sit in the fridge for a few hours to set. When ready to eat it, turn the bowl upside down (or eat it straight out of it). If it doesn't come loose easily, try to unstick it from the bowl using a thin knife. The result is a very creamy and smooth snack, like a strawberry milkshake in flan-form! Consider (if you want the added flavor, texture, and fiber), adding some sliced strawberries, blackberries, or raspberries to the mixture before placing it in the fridge. It ends up extra fruity and mmm :-)

Macros per 1 out of 4: 84.25kcals, 6.5g carbs (6.2g sugar), 8g protein, 3g fat (1.8g sat).
