Protein Frappuccino Recipe
With summer around the corner you can be easily tempted to eat and drink out with friends and family. Now I love milkshakes and frappuccinos however they’re very high in calories and full of fat so over the last few weeks I’ve been making protein frappuccinos and they taste amazing!
Like most people I’ve recently started dieting firstly for a holiday and secondly for a UKBFF Mens Physique show later in the year as I’ve had a longer bulking period than I usually do to make the relevant improvements before stepping on stage again. With that in mind the recipe is perfect for your summer diet and should be tweaked in order to fit your macros and current diet.
There’s two ways of making this, one in a blender and the other in a shaker. Using a shaker you’ll fine it’s a little gritty and obviously it wont crush the ice cubes but it’s also a lot quicker and there’s less to clean up.
Add the following into a blender/Shaker:
30g PURE Whey Protein Concentrate 80 (I used double chocolate flavour)
1 tbs Douwe Egberts coffee (I used caramel flavor)
400-500ml almond milk
1 tea spoon of cinnamon (optional but does help boast metabolism
Here’s my mid-morning snack – protein Frappuccino and rice cakes with almond butter and banana
Give it a good blend and pour into a glass of into a shaker if your on the move, and that’s it! Pretty simple, fits in with any diet and tastes amazing. Another alternative to use is the Bodybuilding Warehouse Premium Protein Coffee instead of the PURE 80 Whey and Douwe Egberts.
